Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced Panel Beater with MET skills for our busy accident repair centre in Hull. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000 with overtime and a bonus up to 10% based on performance.

You will be responsible for panel repairs, MET stripping and refitting, welding and structural work, ensuring repairs meet manufacturer standards and working closely with paint technicians to keep the repair process efficient.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Panel Beater within an accident repair centre.
• Strong MET skills, including stripping and refitting vehicle components.
• Experience carrying out structural and cosmetic vehicle body repairs.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques and equipment.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out panel repairs on a variety of vehicles, from minor damage to major accident repairs.
• Removing, repairing and replacing damaged body panels.
• Undertaking MET work, including stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Carrying out welding, bonding and structural repairs where required.
• Ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
• Working closely with Paint Technicians and other workshop colleagues to maintain an efficient repair process.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Completing repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

The Role
