Job summary

Sodexo Group is hiring a Security Officer Team Leader for the Sevington Inland Border Facility in Ashford, Kent (TN25 6GE). You’ll supervise security operations on site, maintain safety standards and provide a professional presence for employees and visitors.

Shift pattern is 42 hours per week, 4 on / 4 off, 19:00–07:00, with a pay rate of £13.95 per hour. A valid SIA licence and UK residency are essential to support DEFRA obligations.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence required or essential for role
• Minimum 5 years residency in UK for right to work
• Ability to work 4 on/4 off night shifts (19:00-07:00)

Responsibilities

• Be professional, friendly and helpful at all times while performing duties
• Respond promptly to emergencies and keep customers informed
• Assist clients, contractors and visitors ensuring site procedures are followed
• Liaise with statutory authorities and provide incident information
• Monitor site radio systems and follow correct procedures
• Maintain site records and incident forms
• Develop strong relationships with on-site client

you will play a critical role in maintaining a secure, safe, and positive environment for all employees, visitors, and clients. This position requires a dependable individual who can remain alert, enforce site protocols, and respond effectively to various situations. You’ll be a visible presence on site, combining vigilance with excellent customer service to support Sodexo’s commitment to operational excellence and safety.

• Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous and helpful at all times whilst carrying out duties of he highest level.


• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, ensuring customers are consistently informed throughout the process.


• Provide assistant to clients, contractors and visitors ensuring all site procedures and polices are adhered too.


• To liaise closely with statutory authorities, dealing with incidents and providing information to support.


• Continuous monitoring of site radio systems adhering to the correct procedures.


• Maintaining site records such as reference materials, incident forms and site occurrence book.


• To develop excellent working relationships with our on site client.

What You Will Bring:

• A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence – essential for this role.
