Job summary

The Guinness Partnership is seeking a Multi Skilled Plumber to join our Milton Keynes team, delivering responsive repairs and a range of multi-skilled maintenance tasks. A full-time role with 40 hours per week, typical hours 8:00am–4:30pm, plus a rotating late shift and Saturday mornings.

An out-of-hours callout rota with additional pay is included. The successful candidate must reside in the Milton Keynes area, hold a full UK driving licence, and pass a basic DBS check paid for by Guinness

Qualifications

• Must hold NVQ Level 2 (City & Guilds) or equivalent in the primary trade.
• Competence in plumbing with ability to carry out basic joinery, tiling, groundwork, damp treatment and flooring tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work.
• Work a 40-hour week with 8:00–16:30, plus late shifts and Saturday mornings on a rota.
• Participate in an out-of-hours callout rota with additional pay.
• Live within Milton Keynes area and hold a valid UK driving licence.

About The Role

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Plumber to join our Milton Keynes team, delivering responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work.

This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week. Normal working hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to work a 10:30am - 7:00pm late shift and Saturday mornings on a rotational basis

The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment.

To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Milton Keynes area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.

Essential Requirements Of The Role

• You must be able to demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with the ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic joinery, tiling, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.
• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high quality service.
• Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or an equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.
