Job summary

The Guinness Partnership is seeking a Multi Skilled Joiner to join the Home Counties team, delivering responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work. The role will primarily cover the Milton Keynes area, with additional support across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire as needed.

This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week. Normal hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with late shifts and Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in social housing or customer-focused repairs.
• Ability to carry out multi-trade tasks (plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould treatment, flooring).

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-trade repairs including basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork and flooring.
• Deliver high-quality service in a customer-focused environment.
• Record information and work to agreed procedures.
• Work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Participate in out-of-hours rota; live within Milton Keynes area.

About The Role

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Joiner to join our Home Counties team, delivering responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work.

The role will primarily cover the Milton Keynes area, with additional support required across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire as business needs dictate.

This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week. Normal working hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to work a 10:30am - 7:00pm late shift and Saturday mornings on a rotational basis.

The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Milton Keynes area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by Guinness.

Essential Requirements Of The Role

• You must be able to demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with the ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.
• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high quality service.
• Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or an equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.
