Job summary

Portakabin in Bristol Hire Centre is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative on a permanent, on-site basis. You will refurbish and fit-out buildings, ensure safety, quality and timely delivery, and support colleagues across the team. Driving licence is required; hours are Mon-Thu 7:45am–4:30pm, Fri 7:45am–3:30pm.

Overtime available and probation merit of up to £4.38. Salary £15.87 per hour with a benefits package including 24 days holiday, pension, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs and RAMS.
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment and safe use.
• Experience or qualification with CSCS is desirable.
• Practical skills developed through training and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, compliant working environment.
• Follow technical instructions, RAMS and procedures.
• Carry out refurbishment and fit-out per specs and SOPs.
• Support team activities and assist across roles as needed.

Role: Offsite Multi Skilled Operative

Hourly Rate: £15.87 per hour, overtime available and opportunity to earn additional merit of up to £4.38 following probation

Role based: Bristol, BS10 7SD (Driving licence required)

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 7:45am to 4:30pm, on Fridays from 7:45am to 3:30pm

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team in based in Bristol.

These roles will play a critical part in carrying out refurbishment and fit-out of buildings; ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, supporting on-time and cost-effective delivery for customers.

In this role as Multi Skilled Operative, you will be required to:

• Maintain a safe, organised and compliant working environment, in line with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Follow technical instructions, RAMS and company procedures to complete work safely, efficiently and to the required quality.
• Carry out refurbishment and fit-out activities following technical specifications, SOPs, RAMS and company procedures, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality.
• Support colleagues by assisting with activities across the team, supporting activities outside own experience where qualified or experienced to do so.
• Contribute to team delivery by working collaboratively and escalating issues promptly where they cannot be resolved.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience gained in operational environments, working across a variety of semi-skilled activities.
• Practical skills are acquired through training and supervised application.
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment and materials, with experience of using them safely.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Holds Slinger / Signaller ticket & CSCS card - desirable
