Job summary

Portakabin Ltd in Rugby is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join our refurbishment and fit-out team at Rugby Hire Centre. The role is permanent with Monday-Thursday 7:45am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:45am to 3:30pm, paying £15.87 per hour with overtime options.

You will work safely to required standards, read SOPs and RAMS, and support the team in delivering quality buildings on time. A range of benefits and progression opportunities are offered.

• Experience in operational environments across semi-skilled tasks.
• Practical skills gained through training and supervision.
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment; safe usage.

Compensation: £15.87 / hour

Description

Role: Multi Skilled Operative. Hourly Rate: £15.87 per hour, overtime available and opportunity to earn additional merit of up to £4.38 following probation.

Role based: Site Accommodation - Portakabin Ltd, Rugby, CV21 1PS.

Contract type: Permanent.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 7:45am to 4:30pm, on Fridays from 7:45am to 3:30pm.

We are seeking Multi Skilled Operative to join our team in based in Rugby.

These roles will play a critical part in carrying out refurbishment and fit-out of buildings; ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, supporting on-time and cost-effective delivery for customers.

In this role as, Multi Skilled Operative you will be required to:

• Maintain a safe, organised and compliant working environment, in line with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Follow technical instructions, RAMS and company procedures to complete work safely, efficiently and to the required quality.
• Carry out refurbishment and fit-out activities following technical specifications, SOPs, RAMS and company procedures, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality.
• Support colleagues by assisting with activities across the team, supporting activities outside own experience where qualified or experienced to do so.
• Contribute to team delivery by working collaboratively and escalating issues promptly where they cannot be resolved.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience gained in operational environments, working across a variety of semi-skilled activities.
• Practical skills are acquired through training and supervised application.
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment and materials, with experience of using them safely.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
