Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operative (Responsive Repairs) in Evesham to carry out a range of domestic property maintenance tasks across tenanted homes, including painting, plastering, brickwork, carpentry, tiling and basic plumbing.

You will deliver high-quality repairs, work across planned and responsive tasks, with a focus on customer service and safety. The role offers a full-time permanent contract, a 42.5 hour week, a company vehicle and enhanced overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience across carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work in occupied homes with sensitivity.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across tenanted social housing.
• Replace or repair skirting boards, architraves, and interior door frames.
• Install/adjust kitchen units, worktops and cupboard doors.
• Identify and fix minor plumbing issues such as leaks.
• Paint and decorate to a professional finish after repairs.
• Record job details and materials using handheld devices.
• Maintain tools and company vehicle.
• Work in occupied properties with residents' privacy.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency rota.

Mears Group is delivering a long-term social housing repairs and maintenance partnership across the wider Midlands region.Providing housing repairs and maintenance services across a geographically diverse social housing portfolio covering market towns, rural communities and urban locations, the contract includes responsive repairs, planned maintenance and property services, with a strong focus on customer service, quality and community investment.Due to continued growth across the contract, opportunities are available for experienced Multi Skilled Operatives across South Worcestershire, North Gloucestershire, and surrounding areas. **About the Role**:We are looking for multi skilled operatives to join our team in Evesham. You will be carrying out a variety of property maintenance tasks, including painting, plastering, brickwork, carpentry, tiling, silicone/mastic works, groundworks and minor plumbing in tenanted properties.
