MPS, part of the Mears Group, seeks a Multi Skilled Operative to carry out repairs and maintenance on void social housing properties across assigned areas. You will work across carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and more, delivering high‑quality fixes for residents.
You will need a strong trades background, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently. Role involves out‑of‑hours rota and mobile work with company vehicle support.
Annual salary: up to £36,425.30

Salary: £36,425.30 pa, plus company van, fuel card, PPE, uniform etc.
Hours: 42.5 per week

Delivering a range of property services, including reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance services to over 100 local authorities and housing providers nationwide including Orbit: one of the largest housing providers in the midlands, east Anglia and the southeast.
We are now seeking Multi Skilled Operatives to join us in Area 2 of the business to support our ongoing partnership with Orbit; now in its thirteenth year providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.
As a Multi Skilled Operative with MPS you will be working on our Void properties preparing houses for tenants. This is a dynamic, hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality repairs and maintenance across a range of trades, ensuring residents’ homes are safe, functional, and well cared for.
You’ll be working across void properties, responding to repair requests that cover carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and more. No two days are the same, and your ability to adapt, problem‑solve, and deliver excellent customer service will be key to your success.

We’re looking for someone reliable, skilled across multiple trades, and passionate about getting the job done right the first time.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
