Job summary

Veolia Group in Runcorn is recruiting for a hands-on role at a wood recycling facility. You will shred waste, manage stockpiles and operate mobile plant, with a 42.5-hour week and 8am–5pm (7am starts possible). Overtime can boost earnings beyond base pay of around £25k.

Benefits include 21 days’ holiday, pension access, and ongoing training. This is a site-based role in WA7 4DS, with potential earnings around £30k with overtime.

Qualifications

• Loading shovel licence and experience required.
• Material handler experience required.
• Full driving licence required.
• Experience operating mobile plant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming waste and operate mobile plant to shred the waste.
• Manage stockpiles of wood and screen to the desired grade.
• Shred, screen, weigh vehicles and load processed material.
• Operate plant attachments on site and perform daily maintenance.

What will you be doing?

• Checking incoming waste and operating mobile plant (wheeled loading shovels and material handlers) to shred the waste
• Managing stockpiles of wood and screening the wood to the desired grade.
• Shredding, screening, weighing vehicles in and out and loading vehicles with processed material.
• Plant and associated attachments on site, including daily maintenance.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a similar role operating mobile plant
