Budweiser Brewing Group (AB InBev) is seeking a multi-skilled engineer to support a fast-paced Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) at our site in the UK. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and drive improvements to reliability and output.

Ideal candidates will have an electrical bias, strong fault-finding skills, and experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering team. The role offers a clear path to leadership and is based on-site at the brewery.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering is required.
Multi-skilled engineer with electrical bias and fault finding experience.
Experience working within a multi-disciplined engineering team.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance on the ASRS.
Diagnose and resolve complex faults in a high-pressure environment.
Own breakdowns from initial fault to permanent resolution.
Analyse equipment performance data to identify recurring issues.
Deliver continuous improvement to improve system reliability and performance.
Work with OEMs and contractors to resolve issues and manage spares.
Record maintenance activity in SAP/CMMS and uphold safety standards.

Primary purpose and function of position:

Reporting to the First Line Manager, you will play a key role within a high-performing engineering team supporting a fast-paced Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS).

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on fault finding, problem solving, and driving equipment reliability in a demanding FMCG environment. You will take ownership of issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvements to maximise system performance.

This role is ideal for an ambitious, proactive engineer who takes ownership, learns quickly, and is motivated to progress into a leadership position.

You may be required, from time to time, to carry out tasks in addition to or instead of your normal duties, either for the brewery or for Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I, provided that they are reasonable and within your capabilities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across the ASRS as part of a multi-skilled engineering team.

Accountabilities:

Mechanical and Electrical maintenance, including

Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across the ASRS system
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults in a high-pressure environment
Take full ownership of breakdowns from initial fault through to permanent resolution
Analyse equipment performance data to identify and eliminate recurring issues
Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to improve system reliability and performance
Challenge existing practices and drive improvements to engineering and operational standards
Develop and improve SOPs, SWIs, and maintenance procedures
Work closely with OEMs and contractors to resolve technical issues and manage spares
Record maintenance activity accurately within SAP/CMMS systems
Support and uphold safety, quality, and performance standards at all times
Contribute to a high-performing team culture built on accountability and ownership
Work at height where required
