Job summary

Mars Petcare Castle Cary is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our technical team. In this site-based role, you will ensure maximum plant reliability, efficiency, and safety across production and packaging lines, delivering both planned preventative maintenance and rapid breakdown response.

As a key member of our engineering community, you will collaborate with operations to drive continuous improvement, minimize downtime, and uphold world-class safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Engineer with apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing/production.
• Strong understanding of HSE guidelines and permit to work, LOTO.
• Own transport due to site location.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance and rapid breakdown repairs.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with operations and maintain CMMS logs.
• Ensure safety and quality standards on site.
