Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer for our Castle Cary manufacturing facility. You will ensure maximum plant reliability, efficiency, and safety across production and packaging lines, delivering both planned maintenance and rapid breakdown response.

Qualifications

• Approved apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience performing electrical and mechanical maintenance in manufacturing.
• Strong HSE knowledge including Permit to Work, LOTO and risk assessments.
• Excellent handover and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Lead safety and compliance across the site.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of equipment and processes.
• Maintain clear maintenance logs and CMMS entries.
