Job summary
Mars Petcare is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer for our Castle Cary site. You will ensure maximum plant reliability, safety and efficiency across production and packaging lines, delivering both planned maintenance and rapid breakdown responses.

Qualifications
- Qualified engineer with an approved apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3/ONC in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Proven hands-on maintenance experience in electrical and mechanical domains.
- Strong HSE knowledge, including LOTO and risk assessments.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills for handovers with operations.
- Own transport is essential due to the site location.
Responsibilities
- Planned & reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Safety & quality compliant engineering activities on site.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimize machine performance.
- Maintain detailed CMMS records and clear shift handovers.
