Job summary

Synergi Search & Select Limited is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a fast-paced manufacturing site in Nottingham (NG11 2AF). The role offers a £45,500 annual salary and a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days & nights from 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am).

You will join a busy engineering team to maintain and improve production equipment, responding to breakdowns and performing PPM. Required NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, plus an engineering apprenticeship

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Completed engineering apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing / FMCG environments.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns across the site
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Fault find on electrical systems including motors, drives, control panels and PLC-controlled equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production machinery
• Work on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Complete maintenance records using the CMMS system
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established production facility in Nottingham.

Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance to ensure maximum plant reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns across the site
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Fault find on electrical systems including motors, drives, control panels and PLC-controlled equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production machinery

About You

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, production or automated environment
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Basic PLC fault-finding experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
