Job summary

Outline Recruitment is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in Nottingham. The role involves diagnosing faults across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems, and performing timely repairs to keep machinery running at target levels.

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance and work closely with the site production team to sustain production. A strong IT skillset and reading of electrical drawings are required, with good written and spoken English.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Mixed electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical/engineering drawings and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Fault diagnosis of plant/equipment to meet targets (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC).
• Carry out timely repairs as required.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance as instructed.
• Collaborate with site production team to maintain production levels.

Job description

Role: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £45,500 - £48,000

Duration: Permanent

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be involved in:

• Ensuring effective fault diagnosis of any plant and equipment on site that is not operating to the required targets (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC System);
• Carrying out repairs when required in a timely and efficient manner;
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activity as instructed;
• Working with the site production team to maintain production levels;
• Working effectively with the other engineers onsite.

We are looking for candidates who hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and/or have completed an apprenticeship (mechanical/electrical/control skills). The role is multi-skilled so you will need a mix of electrical and mechanical engineering experience. In addition, you will need to be able to read and understand electrical/engineering drawings, possess strong IT skills, be able to work well as part of a team, have a can-do attitude and have a good level of written and spoken English. You will also need proof of Right to Work in the UK.
