Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a busy Nottingham manufacturing site. You will maintain and improve production equipment, respond to breakdowns and carry out planned preventive maintenance to maximise plant reliability and performance.

The role operates on a 4 on/4 off days and nights pattern, offering a £45,500 salary, a modern automated environment and clear training and development opportunities within a supportive engineering team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Completed engineering apprenticeship preferred.
• Manufacturing/FMCG/production experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Basic PLC fault-finding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns across the site.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Fault find on electrical systems including motors, drives, control panels and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production machinery.
• Work on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Complete maintenance records using the CMMS system.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures.

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established production facility in Nottingham.

Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance to ensure maximum plant reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns across the site
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Fault find on electrical systems including motors, drives, control panels and PLC-controlled equipment
