Job summary

2K Polymer Systems (UK) is seeking a Site Maintenance Engineer to maintain site equipment and infrastructure, carry out planned maintenance, diagnose faults, and implement improvements to maximise uptime.

The role involves testing new equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting contractors. A background in mechanical/electrical maintenance with PM systems experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and diagnose faults.
• Maintain production machinery, mechanical/electrical systems, utilities and site infrastructure.
• Install, commission and test new equipment and machinery.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with health and safety legislation and procedures.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets.
• Liaise with production teams to minimise disruption during maintenance.
• Support contractors on site and ensure work is safe and up to standard.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to improve reliability and reduce costs.
• Assist with root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures.
• Maintain stock levels of spare parts and report shortages.
• Ensure housekeeping standards in workshops and plant areas.
• Participate in risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.
