Job summary

2K Polymer Systems (UK) is part of Marmon Holdings, a Berkshire Hathaway-backed global industrial group. The Site Maintenance Engineer will maintain site equipment, machinery, and facilities to protect safe, reliable operations and maximise uptime.

Responsibilities include executing planned maintenance, diagnosing faults, installing and testing equipment, liaising with production teams, and contributing to continuous improvement while complying with HSE procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing or facilities.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Maintain production machinery, mechanical systems, electrical systems, utilities, and site infrastructure.
• Install, commission, and test new equipment and machinery.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets.
• Liaise with production teams to minimise operational disruption during maintenance activities.
• Support contractors working on site and ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Assist with root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures. Maintain appropriate stock levels of spare parts.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained within workshops and plant areas.
• Participate in risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.
