Job summary

McBride is seeking an ambitious maintenance engineer at the Middleton site. You will join a cross-functional engineering team on a day shift pattern while providing a 24/7 reactive and proactive service to the Middleton production site.

You will ensure assets run at max speeds with minimal breakdowns and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You should have 3+ years’ experience on high-volume automated machinery, with a time-served apprenticeship or HNC/ONC in Electrical/Mechanical

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience on high volume production automated machinery.
• Time served apprenticeship or HNC/ONC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering required.
• Strong fault finding on pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical control systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Reliability Maintenance Inspections and tasks to a high standard.
• Perform reactive maintenance and fault finding with timely fixes.
• Work within Permit to Work systems and risk assessments; adhere to H&S policies.
• Engage in Lean Maintenance and CI initiatives to drive improvements.
• Utilise CMMS to plan work and record outcomes; liaise across shifts and with external contractors.
