Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for our Leeds-based site. You will support a highly automated production facility, carrying out PPMs, diagnosing faults, and driving reliability and improvements.

A 4-on/4-off pattern with days and nights complements a permanent role in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will work with production teams, perform RCA, maintain records in a CMMS, and uphold safety standards across a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications completed.
• Experience in fast-paced or FMCG manufacturing environments.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills and PLC control experience.
• Experience with automated production equipment and CMMS systems.
• Able to work a 24/7 manufacturing operation and around conveyors, drives and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to stop recurring failures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS system.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and ensure safety.
