Job summary

THG Labs in Frome is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical expertise to join a fast-paced engineering team. You will maintain, diagnose, and repair production and site equipment to maximise uptime and efficiency.

The role requires time-served training or equivalent in electrical/multi-skilled maintenance, with experience in a manufacturing setting. You’ll work on electrical/mechanical systems, read drawings, and support improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification in Electrical or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills with understanding of PLCs, sensors, drives, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems including conveyors, motors, control panels, and automated machinery.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs following safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to projects to increase equipment reliability and performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with production and operations teams.
