Job summary

THG Labs in Frome is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical and basic mechanical expertise to maintain, diagnose, and repair production and site equipment. You will handle both preventative and reactive maintenance on conveyors, motors, control panels and automated machinery.

You’ll contribute to continuous improvement, keep accurate CMMS records, and ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality standards while supporting production teams.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3/ONC/HNC) in Electrical or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering.
• Proven maintenance experience in manufacturing, FMCG or industrial environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Reading and interpretation of technical drawings/schematics.
• Able to work under pressure, be team-focused and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems including conveyors, motors, control panels and automated machinery.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs following safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Support continuous improvement projects to increase reliability and performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Provide technical support to production and operations teams.
