Job summary
THG Labs in Frome is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical expertise and solid mechanical understanding to join our fast-paced engineering team. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on conveyors, motors, control panels and automated machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and safe operations.
The role requires an apprenticeship or NVQ/HNC in Electrical or multi-skilled maintenance and experience in manufacturing; reading schematics and fault-finding are
Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/ONC/HNC in Electrical or multi-skilled maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or industrial maintenance.
- Strong electrical fault-finding with PLCs, sensors, drives and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings & schematics.
- Flexible, team-oriented and able to work independently under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults and repair, adhering to safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement projects to boost reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Provide technical support and collaborate with production and operations teams.
