Job summary

THG is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to join THG Labs in Frome. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and motors, with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding.

You’ll document activities in CMMS and support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring safety and quality standards. The role requires an apprenticeship or NVQ/HNC-level qualification, with experience in manufacturing environments and

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification in Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills with bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and motors.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to safety standards and manufacturers' guidelines.
• Undertake strip-downs, replacements, alignments, adjustments and rebuilds.
• Basic electrical fault-finding and safe isolation of equipment when required.
• Support continuous improvement to improve reliability, performance and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate CMMS maintenance records and ensure compliance with H&S and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to provide technical support.
