Maintenance Engineer

Location: Eaglescliffe

Salary: £53,323 (including shift allowance) & benefits

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician with electrical skills to join our Maintenance Team at Eaglescliffe. Your main responsibilities will include ensuring continuous production by fault finding and maintaining equipment, minimizing downtime through safe and logical reactive engineering activities. The role operates on a continental shift pattern: 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00, 2 days, 2 nights, followed by 4 days off.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Good mechanical knowledge with some electrical experience
• Qualified, time-served in a similar role, ideally NVQ Level 3
• Apprentice-trained with understanding of 18th edition wiring regulations
• PLC fault-finding skills (advantageous)
• Experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication, and machining (advantageous)
• Experience in reactive and planned maintenance of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and reading technical drawings
