Proactive Global is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a night-shift role in the Dartford/Southfleet area. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of production equipment to keep downtime to a minimum and efficiency high.

The role offers training to conversion from mechanical to electrical skills and a clear pathway to become a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a growing manufacturing environment.

Competenze

• Mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills are required.
• Apprentice training or an engineering qualification is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Planned preventative maintenance of production and packaging equipment.
• Reactive maintenance and fault finding to minimise downtime.
• Repairs on conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes and production machinery.
• Support continuous improvement and uphold health and safety standards.

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Dartford SouthFleet. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer looking to develop their skills and progress within a growing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive breakdown maintenance
• Fault finding and repairs on mechanical equipment
• Working on conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings and production machinery
• Supporting continuous improvement activities
• Maintaining health and safety standards

Requirements

• Mechanical maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, food, automotive or industrial environments
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Apprentice trained or engineering qualification beneficial
• Motivated to develop electrical skills and become multi-skilled
