Proactive Global is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to operate across two East London sites in a highly automated FMCG environment. You will conduct planned preventative and reactive maintenance on PLC-controlled equipment, identify faults, and support ongoing engineering improvement projects to maximise uptime.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills within fast-paced manufacturing, with RCA-driven improvements and a focus on safety.

Qualificações

• Experience maintaining multi-skilled electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience in FMCG, food packaging, or fast-paced manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with automated production equipment.
• Exposure to PLC-controlled machinery.
• Preventative and reactive maintenance experience.
• Willing to rotate across days, afternoons and nights.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on PLC-controlled equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults with root cause analysis.
• Support improvement projects to boost plant reliability.
• Record maintenance activities in the systems.
• Collaborate with production to minimise downtime and improve safety.

Salary: Circa £70,000 total package

Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts (Days, Afternoons & Nights)

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a highly automated, continuous process manufacturing environment, working across two sites in East London.

The role will focus on improving plant reliability through planned preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and supporting ongoing engineering improvement projects.

You'll work with PLC-controlled equipment and maintenance systems, using Root Cause Analysis to identify recurring issues, improve equipment performance, and minimise downtime.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Respond to breakdowns and complete reactive maintenance
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
• Work with PLC-controlled and automated production equipment
• Support plant reliability and continuous improvement projects
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on recurring equipment issues
• Use maintenance systems to record and manage engineering activities
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
• Maintain high Health & Safety standards across both sites

Skills & Experience

• Multi-skilled electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
• Experience within FMCG, food, packaging, or another fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with automated production equipment
• Exposure to PLC-controlled machinery
• Preventative and reactive maintenance experience
• Comfortable working a rotating days, afternoons and nights shift pattern
