Job summary

Staffline is recruiting a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for a Reading area site on a seasonal contract. The role focuses on maintaining high line efficiency through predictive and reactive maintenance of automation equipment, fault finding and rapid breakdown response.

You will manage planned maintenance on pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robots to sustain product quality and process uptime. Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical maintenance is required, with rotating shifts and

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical discipline (maintenance).
• Production line experience with motors, drives, conveyors, packaging machinery and process equipment.
• Proactive fault finding and continuous improvement.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to maximise line efficiency.
• Fault finding and diagnosis; attend to breakdowns on site.
• Perform preventative maintenance on automation machinery including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robots.
• Support uptime and KPI targets through planned and predictive maintenance.
• Ensure smooth operation of the continuous process and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities -Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Responsible for a combination of planned and reactive maintenance and technical challenges to ensure maximum line efficiency
• Perform fault-finding and diagnosis
• Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring a rapid response on plant equipment and machinery breakdowns
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of Automation machinery including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robots
• Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI's through planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
• Ensure the efficient running of a continuous process, moving and packing high quality products
• Continually improving performance of equipment and systems to support the development of the site
• Agree preventative maintenance plans
