Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Reading area is seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to cover peak demand on rotating shifts. The role is a seasonal contract with potential to extend beyond 6 months and offers exposure to a high-pace manufacturing environment.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on automation equipment, diagnose faults, and drive improvements to keep lines running at maximum efficiency.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical discipline.
• Experience on production lines with motors, drives, conveyors, packaging machinery.
• Proactive fault finding, continuous improvement mindset.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to maximise line efficiency.
• Perform fault-finding and diagnosis.
• Attend breakdowns onsite with rapid response.
• Maintain automation machinery incl pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robots.
• Deliver uptime and maintenance KPIs via PM and predictive maintenance.
• Ensure smooth operation of continuous process, moving and packing high quality products.
• Improve equipment performance to support site development.
• Agree preventative maintenance plans.

Pay Range: £38 per hour Limited Company, outside scope, PAYE options considered, Rotating Shifts LTD COMPANY ENGAGEMENT

Key Responsibilities –Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Responsible for a combination of planned and reactive maintenance and technical challenges to ensure maximum line efficiency
• Perform fault-finding and diagnosis
• Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring a rapid response on plant equipment and machinery breakdowns
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of Automation machinery including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robots
• Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI’s through planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
• Ensure the efficient running of a continuous process, moving and packing high quality products
• Continually improving performance of equipment and systems to support the development of the site
• Agree preventative maintenance plans

• Production line experience motors, drives, conveyors, packaging machinery and process equipment
