Job summary

Prestige Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer for a busy Lincolnshire manufacturing site. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining production equipment to minimise downtime and support a reliable maintenance programme.

You will perform planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance, contribute to continuous improvement projects, and work closely with production teams to boost efficiency and meet site KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Apprentice-trained or equivalent engineering qualifications.
  • Electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned, predictive, and condition-based maintenance across all production equipment.
  • Provide a rapid and effective response to production breakdowns.
  • Support business objectives and achieve site KPIs.
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Assist with engineering projects, installations, and improvement activities.
  • Ensure effective use of engineering stores and control of costs.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and safety.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, downtime, and incidents.
  • Support the management of contractors on site.
  • Assist in maintaining site services and technical documentation.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Multi-Skilled Engineer

Location: LN6, Lincoln

Salary: £50,000 per year

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights

Full-time | Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role where you'll support the delivery of an effective maintenance programme, ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimised.

You'll play a key role in planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance, while also contributing to continuous improvement projects and supporting site-wide engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned, predictive, and condition-based maintenance across all production equipment
  • Provide a rapid and effective response to production breakdowns
  • Support business objectives and achieve site KPIs
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency
  • Assist with engineering projects, installations, and improvement activities

  • Contribute to a workplace culture focused on safety, sustainability, and wellbeing
What We're Looking For
  • Apprentice-trained or relevant engineering qualifications
  • Electrical and mechanical experience (multi-skilled)
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Computer literate
