Position: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Panama (Shifts Days and Nights)

About the Role

Pioneer Selection is excited to partner with a leading food manufacturing client seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. In this fast-paced and dynamic production environment, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the efficiency of production machinery and equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled engineer to work with a well-established company in the food manufacturing sector, where your expertise will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform reactive and planned maintenance on machinery and equipment within the production facility.
2. Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems.
3. Conduct regular inspections and servicing to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
4. Work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
5. Collaborate with management to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
6. Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and improvements.
7. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Requirements

1. Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in food manufacturing.
2. Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, capable of working on both systems.
3. Experience with PLC fault finding and control systems.
4. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, BRC, etc.) is highly advantageous.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) in electrical, mechanical, or maintenance engineering.
