Job summary
Mars Petcare’s Castle Cary facility is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to maintain production and packaging lines, ensure maximum plant reliability, efficiency, and safety. You will perform planned preventative maintenance and rapid breakdown repairs.
You’ll work a 32-hour week with alternating weekends and weekday shifts, join a world-class engineering team, and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including a welcome bonus and career development through Mars University.
Qualifications
- Qualified Engineer with NVQ Level 3, ONC, or equivalent qualification.
- Hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong health, safety and environment knowledge and practices.
- Own transport is essential due to site location.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and rapid breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
- Drive safety, quality and continuous improvement across the site.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and shift handovers.
- Collaborate with operations to optimise equipment performance.
