Job summary

The Guinness Partnership is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Joiner for our Swindon area, performing complex repairs and a range of multi-trade tasks. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, 8 am–7 pm Mon–Fri with Saturday mornings on a rota, plus an out-of-hours callout rota with enhanced pay.

Applicants must live within Swindon or Gloucester, hold a full UK driving licence, and be prepared for a basic DBS check funded by Guinness. NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in delivering high-quality repairs in a social housing setting is preferred.
• Must be able to carry out multiple trades to complete repairs.

Job description

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Joiner to join our Swindon team, delivering complex repairs and general multi-skilled work. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8 am - 7 pm Monday - Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis. The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Swindon or Gloucester area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by Guinness.

• You must be able to demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with the ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.
• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high-quality service.
• Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks., NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or an equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.
