Job summary

The Guinness Partnership in Swindon is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Joiner to deliver complex repairs and general multi-trade works. This permanent role is 40 hours per week, 8 am–7 pm Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings on a rota.

An out-of-hours callout rota provides extra payment and you must live within Swindon or Gloucester with a valid UK driving licence. You will carry out tasks across joinery, plumbing, tiling, groundwork and damp treatment, adhering to Health and Safety guidelines and

• Must demonstrate competence in primary trade and multi-trade tasks.
• Experience in customer-focused environments, ideally social housing.
• Ability to work methodically, achieve targets, and record information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.
• Deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance for residents in social housing.
• Work with minimal supervision and log work details clearly.

About The Role

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Joiner to join our Swindon team, delivering complex repairs and general multi-skilled work. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8 am – 7 pm Monday – Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis. The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Swindon or Gloucester area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by Guinness.

Essential Requirements Of The Role

• You must be able to demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with the ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.
• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high-quality service.
• Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or an equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.
