Job summary
Mars Petcare Castle Cary is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our on-site engineering team. In this site-based role you will ensure maximum plant reliability, safety, and efficiency across production and packaging lines, delivering planned maintenance and rapid breakdown response.
Shift pattern includes weekends with nights and days, on-site transport essential. You will work with operations to drive continuous improvement, maintain CMMS records, and hand over clearly to day and
Qualifications
- Approved apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, ONC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven hands-on maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong HSE knowledge and ability to work safely on site.
Responsibilities
- Execute planned preventive maintenance and rapid breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
- Uphold health, safety and quality standards across the site.
- Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with operations to enhance reliability.
- Maintain maintenance logs and deliver clear shift handovers for continuity.
