Job summary

The Sterling Choice is seeking an engineer for a food manufacturing site who will not only maintain equipment but help transform the operation. You’ll have autonomy, a voice, and a tangible impact on performance, reliability and the site’s future direction.

You’ll tackle preventative maintenance, root-cause analysis and downtime reduction, and influence investment decisions through continuous improvement projects. This is a days-only role on a 3 on/3 off, 6am–6pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar engineering role within the food manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing faults in PLC-controlled machinery
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
• Understanding of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering function to improve site performance and reliability
