Job summary

The Sterling Choice is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Manager for a busy food manufacturing site. You will oversee maintenance, compliance, planning and day-to-day coordination to keep operations safe, compliant and efficient.

Leading a small team of around three handymen, you will coordinate contractors, manage site budgets and drive facilities improvements, with exposure to broader engineering leadership and a clear path toward a Site Engineering Manager role.

Qualifications

• Facilities or engineering management experience in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of building services, pneumatics and general facilities maintenance.
• Budgeting and cost management experience.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing site facilities, including general building maintenance, pneumatics and compliance.
• Planning and coordinating facilities maintenance, ensuring work is prioritised and completed effectively.
• Managing a team of approximately three handymen.
• Coordinating contractors and resources to support site maintenance requirements.
• Taking responsibility for departmental budgets, cost control and resource planning.
• Ensuring compliance requirements and facilities standards are maintained.
• Supporting site improvement projects and identifying opportunities to improve facilities and processes.
• Working closely with the wider engineering team to ensure the site operates safely and efficiently.
