Job summary

Argon Engineering Limited is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias Preferred) in Wrexham. You will join the on-site engineering team to ensure reliability and efficiency of production machinery in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The role features a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts pattern, with sponsorship options for skilled workers. Training and development opportunities are offered as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
• Experience in manufacturing environment (food/FMCG desirable).
• Knowledge of PLC systems (fault finding advantageous).
• Understanding of health, safety and hygiene standards in manufacturing.
• Ability to work rotating days/nights shift.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Diagnose and fault-find on electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Maintain and service food production and packaging machinery.
• Minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with food safety and health & safety standards.
• Assist with installations, upgrades, and project work.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
