Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the process team and help sustain and optimise production assets across the site. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, work with engineers to cut downtime, and ensure safety and environmental standards are met.

Role involves supporting site utilities, mentoring apprentices, and driving 5S, Kaizen and autonomous maintenance initiatives to strengthen reliability and efficiency at our Northampton facility.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role within FMCG, manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Hands-on CBM experience.
• Experience using CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• System optimisation - Work with engineering teams to improve performance, reduce downtime and drive technical improvements.
• Mechanical & electrical maintenance - Diagnose and repair faults using advanced tools and techniques.
• Safety & compliance - Ensure full adherence to LOTO, electrical safety and environmental standards, maintaining detailed CBM records.
• Infrastructure support - Maintain site utilities and electrical distribution systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Team collaboration - Partner with production teams and mentor apprentices, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lean practices - Support 5S, Kaizen and Autonomous Maintenance initiatives.
• Condition monitoring - Conduct vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound and other predictive maintenance activities.
