Job summary
NPR Recruit is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a Global Engineering Automation business. The role offers career progression, certification opportunities, training, and a progressive path within a supportive site-based team.
The Maintenance Engineer will service and repair various automation equipment, diagnose faults and maintain spares. An FMCG/automation background with NVQ 3 or equivalent is preferred, with OTE £62,000 incl overtime.
Qualifications
- Support site maintenance and repairs within a site-based team.
- Complete servicing on automation equipment and diagnose faults.
- NVQ/Apprenticeship or ONC/HNC qualifications required.
- Experience in FMCG, automation, manufacturing or production preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete servicing on automation equipment and repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and fix them promptly.
- React positively to faults to ensure continuous flow.
- Maintain on-site spares at required levels.
- Work within a site-based team environment on automation systems.
- Participate in ongoing training and development plans.

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
The right Maintenance Engineer will support site maintenance and repairs within a site-based team environment, utilising a purpose-built automation system.
Complete all servicing on a variety of automation equipment
- Complete all repairs
- Diagnosis of Mechanical/Electrical faults and repairs
- Positively react to any faults
- Ensuring flow at all times
- Ensure on-site spares are kept to the required level
- A successful multi-skilled maintenance engineer will ideally have experience in an FMCG, automation, manufacturing, or production environment.
- NVQ 3 or apprenticeship-trained in Electrical or Mechanical, or ONC, HNC.
- Basic PLC fault-finding in/outs
