Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Bromborough is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team. This hands-on role focuses on fault finding, maintenance, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing site.

Responsibilities include planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance, root cause analysis, and delivering projects to improve efficiency. A time-served apprenticeship and experience in food manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical or mechanical apprenticeship.
• Strong maintenance and fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience of safe systems of work, risk assessments and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience in food manufacturing.
• IOSH/NEBOSH, FLT or MEWP certification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and minimise downtime across production equipment.
• Support continuous improvement, root cause analysis and reliability initiatives.
• Deliver engineering projects that improve efficiency and performance.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and performance.
