Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our engineering team at Bromborough. This hands-on role focuses on fault finding, problem-solving and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will perform planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance, diagnose faults to minimise downtime, and work with production teams to maximise equipment availability while maintaining safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 / BTEC or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience with safe systems of work, risk assessments and RCA.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance.

We're looking for a talented Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and performance.

Essential

• Time-served Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship.
• NVQ Level 3, BTEC or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Strong maintenance and fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience of safe systems of work, risk assessments and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

• HNC or equivalent qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of CMMS, TPM, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Condition-based monitoring experience.
• IOSH/NEBOSH, FLT or MEWP certification.
