Mitie Group seeks a reliable Electrical Maintenance Operative to support installation, maintenance and repair across multiple sites. The role is site-based, requires adherence to health and safety regulations, and involves both independent and collaborative work to deliver planned and remedial tasks on time.

Ideal candidates will be BS 7671 (18th Edition) qualified with strong electrical system knowledge, the ability to read technical drawings, and a proactive approach to safety and learning.

• Carry out reactive and PPM tasks as instructed.
• Adhere to site H&S procedures and policies.
• Supervise and escort Mitie and customer subcontractors.
• Carry out testing, fault diagnosis and repairs on maintenance work orders.

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Electrical Maintenance Operative to support installation, maintenance, and repair tasks across various sites. The role involves working independently and collaboratively to deliver planned and remedial works on time, while strictly adhering to health and safety regulations. This is a static site based role.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations and assist tradespeople with wiring, calibration, and alignment tasks.
• Must be able to undertake fabric tasks as directed by site.
• Complete all reactive and PPM tasks as instructed.
• Adhering to site H&S procedures and policies.
• Supervising and escorting of both Mitie and the customers subcontractors.
• Must be willing to carry out overtime Out of hours.
• Must be IT literate.
• Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders
• Use appropriate test equipment and tools, understanding their limitations
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures-no live working permitted
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and attend toolbox talks

Qualified to BS 7671 (18th Edition) in Electrical Installations

Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant, and controls
