Saputo, Inc. on the Isle of Bute is seeking a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias to support our branded and dairy-free production lines.
You will work hands-on across equipment, review and improve PPMs, and collaborate with external partners to reduce downtime. You'll provide detailed technical guidance, manage contractors, and help scale up production for new product lines while ensuring safety and compliance with UK electrical standards.
At Saputo, we bring good to the table by making high-quality products, investing in our people, and supporting communities around the world. As a top 10 global dairy processor, we value contributions that matter and strive to foster an inclusive, growth-driven work environment. Ready to bring your best? SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products. We are currently hiring a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias at our specialist production site on the Isle of Bute where we primarily produce branded and retailer-own dairy-free products, and have recently moved into producing the Cathedral City Spreadable products. This is a hands‑on role where you will work with a range of equipment across our multi-site operations to help the teams drive for continued site efficiency. Beyond reactive engineering requirements, you will also play a key role in reviewing and improving our PPMs, working with external partners to develop and retain knowledge to ensure best practice and reduce unplanned downtime. You will also be supporting R&D activities, ensuring lines are able to scale up production of new product lines.
Shift pattern: Monday-Friday (either 6am to 2.40pm OR 8am to 4.40pm)
We support employment equity.
Saputo strives to embed diversity and inclusion in its operations and invites candidates from all horizons to join our team.
