Job summary

Saputo Dairy UK is seeking a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias for our Isle of Bute site, focused on maintaining and improving production lines for branded and dairy-free products. You will diagnose faults, service equipment, and drive continuous improvement using CMMS data and PM schedules.

The role involves working with automation/controls, adhering to UK electrical standards, and collaborating with operations and quality teams to minimize downtime and support new product launches.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ/HNC required with hands-on electrical experience.
• Experience with UK electrical standards and 18th Edition preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge across food manufacturing equipment and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Fault diagnosis and servicing of equipment safely and efficiently according to OEM manuals and CMMS data.
• Improve asset care standards and reduce downtime through proactive maintenance.
• Review and develop PM schedules and ensure documentation is complete and archived.
• Support R&D activities to scale up production for new product lines.
• Coordinate contractor work and ensure change approvals with operations and quality teams.
