Job summary

Reeve in London is seeking a multi-skilled, foot-mobile engineer with a qualified electrical background to join our fast-paced maintenance team. You will perform fault-finding on lighting and small power, carry out EICRs, contain, install, test emergency lighting, and handle reactive and planned maintenance.

You will also support tenants moves and work with contractors to ensure standards. The role requires City & Guilds 2382, NVQ Level 3, ECS/JIB Card, and solid health and safety practices.

• Proven experience within maintenance or construction.
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems
• Basic maths skills.
• Expert problem solver with good solutions.
• Good communication ability and client-facing confidence.

• Health and safety prioritised; proactive risk spotting.
• Comfortable working alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing lighting and small power systems.
• Conducting periodic inspection and testing and EICRs.
• Containment, small installs and emergency lighting tests.
• Reactive callouts and planned maintenance tasks.
• First-line assessment on site to determine repairs or escalate.
• Site inspections and reporting for major repairs.
• Overseeing contractor works to Reeve standards.
• Support operations during tenant move-ins; assist with light fixtures.

Job description

This is a role for a multi-skilled, foot mobile engineer, who has a qualified background in electrical work.

The work is fast-paced and we welcome ambitious candidates looking to steeply progress their career in maintenance and engineering.

You will be:

• Performing maintenance and repairs including fault-finding on lighting and small power, periodic inspection and testing, remedial work from your own EICRs, containment and small installs, emergency lighting tests, plus reactive callouts and the planned maintenance that keeps the reactive volume down.
• Reeve's first line of service: running a first assessment of the situation: carry out repairs or recommending a specialist contractor on site
• Performing site inspections, identifying and reporting the need for major repairs
• When required, you’ll be present when contractors attend sites and ensure completion of the works are up to Reeve’s standards.
• Providing support to the wider operations team during tenants move-ins (whiteboards, fixing TVs on walls etc)
• Performing light carpentry (e.g. building cabinets)

• Proven experience within maintenance or construction.

Qualifications - at least one of the below, required

• City & Guilds 2382 — 18th Edition (BS 7671 wiring regulations)
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (2357 or 2346), or time-served with evidence
• ECS/JIB Gold Card
