Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer in Rhyl to join our manufacturing client on a full-time, permanent basis. The role focuses on hands-on fault finding, preventative maintenance and site reliability improvements within a busy manufacturing environment.

You will work with the engineering team to maintain production equipment, respond to breakdowns, and support ongoing improvement initiatives while ensuring safe operations and compliance with site procedures.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification or time-served experience.
• Strong fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using CMMS systems.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience within FMCG or high-volume manufacturing desirable.
• Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Complete breakdown repairs and root cause analysis.
• Support installation, commissioning and modification of equipment.
• Maintain critical spares and engineering records.
• Support continuous improvement and energy reduction initiatives.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures.

Multi Skilled Engineer

Location: Rhyl

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off - (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00)

Salary: £57,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Engineer with a strong Electrical bias to join a well established manufacturing business.

This role would suit an experienced engineer who enjoys hands on fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement within a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role:

Working as part of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns and supporting the ongoing improvement of site reliability.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative and predictive maintenance

• Experience using CMMS systems
