Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group in Wirral is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer for a days-based role. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve a wide range of production equipment, site services, and facility systems to maximise uptime and efficiency.

This hands-on role offers a clear 9-5 pattern with overtime opportunities and focuses on reliability, safety, and teamwork with production colleagues to continually improve performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance practices.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment faults as part of normal shift activities.
• Respond quickly to production breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Carry out preventative maintenance activities and routine safety inspections.
• Perform fault-finding and diagnostic work on both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a variety of production machinery and site services.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed effectively.
• Support engineering and continuous improvement projects.
• Promote and follow all health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve recurring issues.
• Investigate equipment failures and identify root causes.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Produce shift reports and communicate effectively during handovers.

Salary: - £45,233 per annum, plus overtime rates weekends (double time) and bank holidays (triple time)

Shift Pattern: - Days- 9-5pm

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a large-scale manufacturing operation. The Person

• HNC, Degree, or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline.
• Proven experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance practices.
• Experience working with planned preventative maintenance systems.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
