Job summary

HOLDICH RECRUITMENT LTD on behalf of our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer in the Thetford area, is seeking a Multi-skilled Shift Engineer to join the engineering team. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern.

You will deliver reactive and preventative maintenance across conveyors, packaging, weighing, bagging, labelling and ovens, perform electrical and mechanical fault finding, and assist in installing new machinery.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a factory environment.
• Multi-skilled maintenance engineering experience.
• Fault finding ability electrical & mechanical.

Responsibilities

• Reactive & Planned Preventative Maintenance across site equipment.
• Maintain conveyors, packaging, weighing, bagging, labelling and ovens.
• Fault finding electrically (PLC) and mechanically.
• Assist in installing new machinery.

Job description

Our client is an established, international food related (FMCG) manufacturer based in the Thetford area.

The company has 8 manufacturing operations in the UK and Europe and is one of the leading manufacturers in it's field with an annual turnover or £40 million, employing a loyal, dedicated and motivated team of around 80 staff.

A further Multi-skilled Shift Engineer is required to join the engineering team of 6.

(4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts)

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager the Multi-skilled engineer will be responsible for the following across the site:

• Providing both Reactive & Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Maintaining a variety of Production Machinery including Conveyors, Packaging Equipment, Weighing Machinery, Bagging Machinery, Labelling Equipment & Ovens
• Fault Finding both Electrically (PLC faultfinding) & Mechanically
• Assisting in the Installation of new machinery

You will have experience working within a relevant factory environment with the following skills/qualifications:

• Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineering Experience
• Relevant Mechanical/Electrical Qualifications
• Fault Finding Ability both Electrically & Mechanically
