Job summary

ProMatch is supporting a proud employee-owned seafood business based in Alness, recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. You will maintain equipment reliability, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across production facilities.

The role covers electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis, planned maintenance and mentoring engineering apprentices, with a focus on safe testing and effective repairs. Excellent teamwork and proactive communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification such as a Modern Apprenticeship, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Multi-skilled engineering experience with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG or food production environments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Conduct testing, repairs and maintenance safely and effectively.
• Identify root causes and implement preventative solutions.
• Maintain accurate records using the CMMS system.
• Liaise with and oversee external contractors.
• Support site services including heating, ventilation, lighting and plumbing.
• Assist with continuous improvement projects.
• Mentor and support engineering apprentices.

Experience of HNC Engineering, 18th Edition regulations and refrigeration systems would be advantageous.
